Up for bid is a 1995 Pontiac Firebird Firehawk Convertible built by SLP of Canada. This car is build # 427, one of 102 Firehawk convertibles built in 1995, and one of 32 convertibles in red. It is equipped with the 1SB package, which included the leather interior, CD player, and all power options. The car has 34,000 original miles, and has been garage kept during my period of ownership. This particular Firehawk was sold new in North Carolina, and stayed there until 1998 when it was sold to Florida with 2200 miles on it. As late as February of 2001, the car only had 5100 miles, and was obviously driven very sparingly. I acquired this car in December of 2002 from the insurance company with front-end collision damage after the third or fourth owner wrecked it. I do not have any particulars about the accident other than that it was confined to the front end and radiator support of the vehicle. There was no front suspension or drive train damage, and the car ran and drove.

Since I had no intention of selling it at the time, I purchased completely brand new OEM/Genuine SLP components for the car, and was very meticulous in the rebuilding of the vehicle. I even went so far as to purchase and import an original SLP Firehawk hood from Ed Hamburgers shop in Canada, as they had a few OEM surplus hoods still left. I have included a few pictures of the car post accident, and during the rebuild to give you an idea of the damage and the extent I went to rebuild it correctly. As it sits right now, the car looks great, and runs and drives perfect. There are no major issues, and everything works like it should, including the air conditioning, power top, and electric headlight motors. Of course it does have some general slight wear and tear you would expect from any 11-year old car, but much less than majority of mid-90’s F-bodies out there. I really don’t want to sell it, but have finally come to the realization that diaper and milk runs to the grocery store for my newborn just aren’t befitting to a car with this much cool factor. Not to mention the fact that no matter how hard I try, my wife wasn’t buying that I could cram three car seats in the back.
