Car Notes
2007.09.30 Ebay

Sykesville, Maryland, United States

You are looking at an EXTREME CAMARO with over $20,000.00 of additions and upgrades! SERIOUS DRIVERS ONLY!

This is a low-mileage, 2000 Camaro SS (build #2781) that is far from stock. If you’re serious about fast street machines, this is your car. THIS IS NOT A TOY. A full-throttle stab at anything under 50MPH will start roasting the rear tires, so you need to know what you’re doing or leave the car set a lower tune setting.

This car has been featured on web sites such as Hoosier Racing Tires, Rapid Motorsports, F-Body Central, and Kent Island Speed. You can see the trophies, but I’m keeping those.

The list of additions and modifications is extensive. The car is a blast to drive and can do it all - from cornering hard through your favorite turns to going from a dead stop to over 120 MPH in just a tick over 10 seconds! 60-foot times are in the 1.4’s and pulling the front wheels is common. IF YOU CAN’T HANDLE A MACHINE OF THIS TYPE, PLEASE DON’T BOTHER BIDDING.

I really, REALLY hate to sell this car, but the truth is this is not a good commuter car for two child seats and I can’t afford to keep this as a toy. The car has been professionally built and is NHRA certified for 7.50’s. Since the computer is programmable, it can be driven daily and will cruise calmly and smoothly at 75MPH with no trouble. It truly is one car that can do it all and it a BLAST to drive!

Here is the nitty-gritty of what’s included:

Complete control of the DRIVETRAIN is done from a laptop that is interfaced to the main computer on-board. This laptop and LS1-edit software are included and the interface can be licensed to the new owner. You will also get the AutoTap monitoring software so you can monitor the vital functions in real time.
The engine is a full-race version built by American Racing Engines with all forged internals, ARP hardware, SLP lid and K&N intake parts, race-ported heads, GROTT headers, and gapless rings. It has all the best parts and I’ll give you the specs when you pick it up. It is built for Nitrous, although I’ve never sprayed it. (For an additional amount, I have the parts to put nitrous in if you’re interested.)
The transmission is a pro-built drag version of the 4L60E, with a 4500-stall converter and manual lockup feature.
The rear axle is a STRANGE 12-bolt with all the heavy-duty parts. It is tied to the chassis with BMR lower control arms and a SPOHN torque arm tied into a SPOHN crossmember.
4-wheel disc brakes slow this thing down with Hurst roll control to hold it in place.
The rest of the CHASSIS and SUSPENSION includes:
BMR chrome-moly front k-member and A-arms, SPOHN chrome-moly subframe connectors,
QA1 adjustable shocks,
QA1 springs (the car sits lower than stock),
BMR rear sway bar,
Custom-made billet aluminum panhard bar.
Air Lift air springs
The interior has lightweight carpet and sound-deadening material, 5-point racing harness, and a 10-point, NHRA-certified roll cage. The cage was custom-built into the car to retain the rear seat area (since I had to put a child seat in there!) and painted with a charcoal metallic that was clear-coated. I had the window net custom made to fit this application (see picture). The inside really looks sharp. The car is a real sleeper and has surprised many competitors!

The only negative I can think of is that the A/C was removed to save weight. I have all the parts to put it back in (as well as almost all the other parts that were replaced with go-fast stuff) and you can have whatever of these parts that you want.

I haven't driven the car in two years, so I put in a new battery and replaced the wipers. This car comes with two sets of wheels/tires. The factory wheels with Nitto street slicks for the rear are included along with the factory SLP muffler (for street use), or you can mount up the Weld Draglites and open the exhaust dump for E-ticket rides!

Get ready to HANG ON!

Vehicle is being sold AS IS with no warranties specified or implied. State inspection is the buyers responsibility if their state has inspection. This car has a current waiver for Maryland vehicle emission inspection. Unless otherwise stated, delivery is NOT included.

On Sep-29-07 at 19:30:41 PDT, seller added the following information:WOW! Lots of questions! Here are some answers!

I'll try to get an engine shot tomorrow. LS1 engines are ugly, so I have carbon-fiber covers over the coil packs on the valve covers.
Yes, the car can be viewed prior to the sale. It'll be in Columbia, MD on Wednesday. E-mail if you'd like to see it.
No, I didn't look it up before I listed it, but I just did now. The NADA listing for this car is $13,600 stock. So, it'd cost you over $30,000 to build this car today. The engine was over $5,000 and the trans/converter was over $2,000! My initial starting bid was $12,000 but my wife talked me into lowering it. Had I known the car is worth almost $14,000 stock, it would've stayed at $12k!
Yes the car is for sale and will go to the highest bidder - on ebay, Internet sales, local sales, whatever.
Yes I'll consider lowering the Buy It Now if you don't want it delivered - as long as ebay allows that and I can figure out how to do it. I will contact any existing bidders if it will be lowered.
Yes the stereo is an AM/FM/CD with awesome sound! I was told it's a Bose system, but I don't know for sure. Do you know how to check?
The exact mileage is 38,686 and it has ALWAYS had Mobil 1 full synthetic in it since the new engine build.
Yes, the door bars of the roll cage are swing-out types and can be easily removed for street driving.
The Weld Draglites have skinnies for the front and Hoosier slicks for the rear. The slicks have 5 passes on them and are still very usable.
It'll run 11.60's on street tires with a muffler. It's run in the 10's on slicks an no muffler. It should run 9's on the bottle. I usually get 1.48 60-foots
Yes, I'll consider trades. Got a '41 Willys or a '33 Vicky? My wife told me to trade for a '69 Camaro
