Columbia, Maryland, United States Original owner selling a 1996 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. Car has never been either raced or in an accident of any kind. All routine maintenance and custom work on the vehicle has been performed by a professional mechanic at the same garage. Silver metallic paint and black leather interior. Factory-installed Ram Air Performance & Handling Package. The original 5.7 cu in (350 cubic inch), fuel injected LT1 engine gave the car 305 HP. In 2002, when the car had 85K miles, the engine was completed rebuilt (see photos); cylinders were bored out .030 over, bringing displacement to 383 cubic inches. 11.5-to-1 pistons, Edelbrock headers, Crane cam, too many upgraded components to list. Added a Procharger supercharger in 2004 (at 100K) with eight pounds of boost: Car dyno’d at 598 HP to the flywheel and 498 to the rear wheels. Borla exhaust and stainless steel exhaust system. To handle all the additional horsepower (twice the original factory rating), installed a Be Cool heavy-duty radiator and cooling system kit. Factory six-speed transmission is original, but clutch was replaced with a Kevlar unit. Hurst shifter and shift handle. Original factory 3.23 rear was replaced with a 3.73 limited slip differential rear. Most recent upgrade was installation of an Edelbrock F-body performance suspension kit. Inside, the car features an in-dash Pioneer AVIC-F900BT AM/FM, CD, satellite radio, GPS with Bluetooth hands-free kit and connector for an iPod. Aftermarket oil, water, voltage meter gauges are mounted on the A-column, with a 5” racing tach and shift light mounted on the dash. A fire extinguisher is mounted on the floor between the rear seats. T-tops, side and rear windows have been tinted. Car has four-wheel power disc brakes with performance rotors and pads, and power windows, steering, antenna and mirrors. A/C works great. Electronic rear window defogger. |
